Calming- Lavender oil is probably best known for its calming or sleep inducing effects. Research has now shown that lavender essential oil can significantly improve sleep quality. By adding a few drops of lavender oil to your pillow every evening before bed you can drift off to dreamland and get a good night’s rest.
Improves Mood & Reduces Stress - Rub 2-3 drops on your feet, temples, wrists or anywhere for an immediate calming effect on the body. Great for use in crowded areas like planes or subways to carve out your own personal oasis
Nausea or motion sickness - To alleviate the symptoms of motion sickness, place a 1-2 drops of Lavender oil on end of your tongue, behind the ears or around the navel.
Dandruff - Rub several drops of lavender oil into the scalp to help eliminate dandruff.
Chapped or sunburned lips - Rub a drop of lavender oil on chapped or sunburned lips.
Eczema / Dermatitis - Mix several drops of Lavender oil with a nut or vegetable mixing oil (coconut, sesame, etc) and use topically on eczema and dermatitis.
Skin blemishes - Lavender’s natural antibacterial properties and healing ability make it wonderful for pimples and minor acne. Dab directly on skin blemishes, or add lavender oil to basic moisturisers or witch hazel for a great oily-skin toner.
